Hi, I’m Zion (19) an American/South African artist, based in the Netherlands.
For as long as I can remember, I have been surrounded by creativity, with my mother as main source of it. What started off as drawings to kill time has developed itself into the works I make now.
I have found a way to process my memories and feelings into my paintings. From my estranged relationship with my mother to my current relationships to others, but also how I see myself and discovering my heritage.
My paintings show apprecitation for realism while also being dreamlike depictions of my feelings and/or experiences. Often I make colorful selfportrets, but sometimes I incluide company to emphasize how I am in interaction with others or past versions of myself.
I am now studying in art school, where I am discovering and expanding my style and developing ways to create my visions with multiple media.
However now my preference mostly lies in painting onto canvas.
